We gather together each week as a church family to spend time together and welcome new people in a relaxed environment. We love to spend time singing worship songs to God and meeting with Him, learning more about Jesus through practical, biblical teaching and allowing Him to powerfully impact our lives as we invite the Holy Spirit to meet with us.
During this season of social distancing we are meeting online biweekly, and have in person gatherings every week in between. Scroll down for our summer rhythm.

Summer Rhythm

As restrictions begin to lift in the wider world, we are looking forward to staying connected, coming together and stepping forward as a church family. We know many of you are so excited to meet in-person again, but we are also aware that there are those for whom this time is equally daunting, and those who have joined the Vineyard Bath family from further afield. We have put together a new rhythm, in line with current government guidelines, enabling us to recultivate our in-person gathering and stay connected with our online community as we move forward together.
Below you’ll find a helpful calendar so you know what we’re up to each Sunday of the summer months:

Please read below for a more detailed outline of our Summer rhythm:

LIVE Sundays

What? Our usual Sunday gathering, expect more worshipping, teaching and virtual fun!
Where? Online, watch on this page or on Facebook.
When? Every other week as usual, for exact dates check the church calendar or follow us on social media
Why? We believe that as we slowly emerge from lockdown being able to meet all together and staying connected online is important as it means that no one gets left behind.

What? In-person, outdoor activities in groups of six (or two households), including walks and chuck glider building!
Where? In Bath and surrounding areas.
When? From April 11th. Check the calendar and ChurchSuite to see what’s on and sign up!
Why? To come together in smaller groups, in line with government guidelines, to encourage and catch-up with one another and serve our city and beyond.

Core Communities

What? Core Communities are at the heart of our church and have remained paramount throughout the pandemic. Smaller groups with an individual feel, often involving worship, prayer, Bible-based discussion, games and more.
Where? In-person and online. Exact locations TBC.
When? Sign-up launches 18th April on ChurchSuite. This term will run until w/c 19th July.
Why? We are running both in-person and online Core Communities this term, catering for those of us ready to meet outside and for those who aren’t as comfortable with that or for whom online just works better.

Get Together Sundays

What? On ‘Get together Sundays’ there will be a variety of ways for us to hang out as a church family, such as walking, sharing a picnic, or getting competitive with some team sports. As this is a more social event, initially this will be facilitated in groups of up to 30 to meet government guidelines.
Where? In Bath and surrounding areas
When? The second Sunday of every month, plus the 24th August – we’ll keep you posted on times and locations.
Why? We are conscious that over this past year we have not had the opportunity to see each other socially and so feel it is important for us to have some time to hang out, catch up on time spent apart and welcome any newcomers to our community. We see this as an opportunity to have time together again to deepen relationships and allow God to draw us closer as a community for what lies ahead. We cannot wait to get together with you all!

Encounter Sundays

What? Encounter Sundays are a chance to gather together as a church family, to worship, meet with God and encounter the Holy Spirit. We will be able to pray for one another in-person and celebrate the goodness of God as we come back together as a collective for the first time. We cannot wait to see you! This will be ticketed to keep track of numbers, we’ll let you know when you need to sign up.
Where? Rob & Suz’s Farm.
When? The last Sunday of every month from 30th May, sign-up will be available on ChurchSuite in the coming weeks.
Why? At Vineyard Bath we love to be together, to hang out as a church family and to sing and worship together. Rob & Suz’s farm is the perfect place to enable us to do all these things safely and to accommodate as many people as possible, in line with social distancing requirements. Encounter Sundays will take place outdoors, in accordance with government guidelines, and it is this outdoor element that means we can sing together for the first time. There will be a marquee for anyone who does not wish to be outside, however we are not able to sing indoors so, if this is you, just sit back, enjoy the sound and meet with God in that space. We feel that this is the right time for us all to come together again in-person and we hope to see you there!

What to expect

During the pandemic we’re exclusively meeting online, but to give you a flavour of what a Sunday usually looks and feels like here at Vineyard Bath check out our video below. This video shows our gatherings at the Pavilion, our former venue, but our time together looks very similar to this with a great mix of time hanging out together, worshiping, teaching, prayer and our amazing kids’ ministry.

We can’t wait to be back being family and welcoming new faces in person, but until then please get in touch, join us online on Sunday mornings and say hello at a Newcomers’ Zoom after our LIVE Sundays sessions. See you there!
